1) Why are y'all looking to change the logo to AFFA when it's already so awesome?

first i want to note that this answer is my pov, not that of the affa staff as a whole.

While the current logo indeed is awesome, we wanted a logo that was made and picked by the community, since without the community, and all the people who nominate and vote each year, the AFFA would not exist either. i hope to get a logo that all feel comfortable with, no matter what adult fic they write. I myself like all the new logos people made, and had a very hard time picking a nr 1 and 2.

2) What's the best part about having a teenage daughter?

While she can give me quite a headache sometimes, she can be very sweet, like today. She got an offer to work in a flower shop for today, and got payed for it. And she also got me some red roses. I also like things like going to a movie with her. Its also someone to have friendly good-meant discussions with. I don know anyone else who can stick to a point of view like she can.

3) If you could spend the day with any of the Ninja Turtles, which one would it be and what would you do?

Probably Donatello, to talk about technical/computer stuff. If it can be a non turtle, then Splinter. I think it would be really interesting to hear stories about things the turtles did from him. Every parent has some of those stories they can ( and on occasion, will ) embarrass their kids with.

4) Why do you like Avatar?

At first, I was not a big fan of the series, but the more my kids watched it, the more I started liking it too. I really like to see uncle Iroh, and the interaction between him and Suko.

5) Which of your fanfics are you the most proud of?

Mmm, lemme think. That would be the little turtle series. I first was hesitant to write that story, but I am glad I did, even if it took me doing a re-write before I was really happy with the first story.

lets see.. what i have been up to as of late:

• forgetting a memo or two.. :will make up on that, promise!
• re-doing my website, to frames: been working on that for a while, finished last week, more or less. its now up. the only thing i need is to find some kind of graphic for above the menu.
• AFFA 2008 competition: we just closed the nominations, and now are working on getting the reading list ready, and the fics that need temporary hosting on the site. pages for that have been added, still need to add content on some.
• making art: working on a thing or two, and uploaded something to my deviantart a few days ago.
• real live..: we all know this one.. and that it can keep us busy a lot. may or may not post a journal about that later.. if i do, it will be friends-locked.
• fanfic: working on the resident evil/tmnt crossover, and finished a one shot.. wich, by the way, will be beta-ed, once my beta (reijiro) has time.. wich probably be after the affa. so fics are being written, in between.. posting ish on hold until there is time to beta and edit.

well, that is what i have been doing the past week or so, in a nutshell.

day 4, 20-12:

spend this day watching Christmas movies with my son: first the grinch, then the tmnt Christmas episode, then Santa Claus.  my daughter had fun too, at her grandma's house. all in all, a relaxing day.

day 5: 21-12:

winter eggies on dragcave! bred one,  caught one from abandoned., daughter bred one too. traded bred one with another bred winter eggie with katt, later.


day 6: 22-12

todays fun thing: did some card making with my kids. had to sweep floor later,  but that is a small price for the fun i had making Christmas cards for grandma. ((helps that i have a floor that i can sweep easy, too.))

and day 7: 23-7 (today)

got all shopping done! had to wait until this week before i had money to buy  most of the stuff for Christmas, and got all i needed. groceries where  half-paid by me, half my mom , since we celebrate Christmas togeter each year, that one is always a shared one.  got the gifts i needed too.

 and with that, i can end this meme!

some happy stuff for the day:

 my kids have their vacation. that means  i can sleep a little longer each morning. not much, but still.

 and my income was payed out a week earlier this month, and just arrived on my bank account! wich means less counting each dime while Christmas shopping.

 some small things that went well today: got my paperwork sorted out, and finally found a place to put up post and Christmas cards.  the ones i got from others are thus on my wall, for all to see. will add piccy tomorrow.

todays good things:

i spend a nice afternoon watching avatar with my son, and because i watched it on my laptop, i also got some  useful screencaps out of it.. *holds one screencap out* this one is gonna be a nice avvie for reijiro.  and if i can find  a cap fitting the other idea i have, it will be two!

Fandoms: TMNT. i migth be persuated to try biker mice, thunderbirds, or swat kats, but i prefer tmnt, no matter what incarnation ( movies, old or new, new toon, old too, comics.. ))
