I finally finished doing the fine-tuning i wanted to do on some of the skins on pizzas and scrolls. added a links page, now all i need is a nice list of links. working on that one now.

I also removed the reason why it took me ages to do all the fine tuning: the green elegance skin. while the other three skins ((liquidsteel, csszen, and zenlike)) where easy to change and to add things too, elegance kept giving me headaches, and rfused to do what i wanted. so i removed it completely. i hope no one was too attached to that skin..

Now i have three skins left i know how to change into the way i want.

what i did today:
Removed elegange.
Moved skin-chooser to top on zenlike ((need to center it, will do so later))
added links page to menu on all skins
added recenr stories to meny in csszen
removed top ten lists page from all skins. if people miss that ( and tell me they do) i can re-add it.

and some background-fine tuning that should help to keep things go smooth.
I may try and make a special pizzas and scrolls skin, with the logo in it, fitting colors, etc, but it may take some time. i probably will use one of the current skins as a base for that.

yep, update time! with luck, all will go smooth, as it has been during previos updates. no worries, thoug, i backup evberything before i update, so nothing will be lost.

lets start with my main site, which i am turning into a website focused on my photo-making and non-fan-art. its already changed, all it needs now is visitors, and maybe even a comment or two. * looks hopeful at people reading this* i will be updating that site a few times a week, and will try to post a new picture daily.  LINK

now for the affa- site: the re-done site is almost done, just need to check for errors, and add one or two things, then it is ready for people to visit! from all the new/changed things, i think people migth like the new master links lis the most: a list with all stories nominated for the affa since 2006! it was quite some work to write and code it (( thanks go to reijiro for all the writing!)). last, but not least, i got some news from pizzas and scrolls too. i finally managed to re-find the liquidsteel skin a lot of people liked, and asked me about adding again. will go and add it asap, and may make it the default again! LINK

i have been working on re-doing the affa-website for some time now,  and here is some info on what i am working on, and what you can expect:

- no more frames! (( while still keeping things easy to update for me. ))
- new look menu.
- New look for the gallery
- re-vised links page, now with a list that has all fics nominated so far, alphabetically, and a list sorted by author.
- the shout box makes its return on the main page.
- contact form  re-done, now has captcha.
- competitions in one  section, which each years info  posted by year.


wich reminds me.. i still need to add  a list of people who made the certificate art..

there still are some bugs, but i  am doing everything withing my power to solve them. if you encounter a serious bug, please report it to me. if possible with a screencap.

i found out the  pizzas and scrolls site is having a lot of trouble with internet explorer.

i tried to find a fix, but i can not find a fix that doe snot include using a less-saver version of the script.. and even then its not sure if the error will be fixed.

 i have a few options, and am hoping you,  are willing to tell me what you prefer. you can do that by mailing me back, or my responding to  my livejournal, which will also have  an entry about this.

the options are the following:
-live with it, and have people that use ie  not being able to use the site properly (not one i prefer, at all. i lprefer all my sites compatible with any browser. just adding this one for completeness of options))
-try to fix it, with possible chance of it still not working/hackers. (( also not one i favor..  may cause trouble for the other sites, like the affa one.. ))
-find another script (already tried, did not find a decent one. if you know a good one, tell me. not efiction.  ))
-replace it with a forum instead. ((most forum scripts are more stabile, and friendly for any browser.))
-merge this place with the affa forum. ((means people have to re-post.  but the affa forum already as an story section, and author sections. ))
-just give up all together, and delete it.

so, opinions, please? as many as possible, since i then can get an idea what  most think.

As some of yoy mnigth remember,m i started uploading screencaps to my lj scrapbook a while ago. I stopped, mainly because it was a pain to upload the files there. Wich had to be done one by one on my own computer (laptop with vista) or i had to use my daugthers computer ( xp upload tool thingie )) 

After some thinking, i decided to start a second photobucket account, and upload everything there. After almost losing all the caps, ((good thing i do make backups, at least of some things )) i decided to make more haste with that, so i did. i uploaded every cap i had a backup off to a photobucket account.

Where this all is leading? to here: Linkie!!   <-- that is where you can find every screencap i had on my computer.  i sometimes add new ones, and will try and post  in my lj if i do. 

These screencaps are free to be used, no credits neccasery, but if you do give credit, i would appreciate it.

First the update part:  i updated the affa yesterday, and my site today. main changes are that one of the pages is no longer empty, ( )   i put the gallery in an iframe, and added a second page with iframe for the fanfic links page.  so, all is best viewed from my site, but the fanfic links page is also accessible on its own, if you prefer that.

over the course of the next few days, i will be adding the fanfic links i have, and the ones recced to me so far.  extra recommendations are still welcome, and i want to thank the people who aklready did rec stories for that page! i am also looking into a guestbook for my sites, but so far have not found one i like yet.

i also decided to make more use of my deviantart account. so, what will be where: fanart, wallpapers, etc will be posted on my site.  photo's, scrapbooking pages and manips i make using non-fan chars will be on deviantart. here on lj, i will show something of both.

the birthday and gift part: tomorrow,. jan 11, i will become 35 years.  i already got the first gifts:  6 months lj and 6 months of 100 userpictures from my mom, and  my daugther made something in school for me. will take a pic and post it later! probabbly after tomorrow.

been adding some avvies already,  can still use a few nice ones, thoug!

as some of you might remember, i used to have a page, full with links to various fanfic's.

die to a server switch, and me losing the script, i lost all those links. i have some in my bookmarks, that i since then found again, but many good fics are missing.

now what i need help with, is finding good fanfics, old and new, to put on the page.

and  that is what i am asking help with. know a fic that really should be added? tell me! post the link, what it is about, and  if possible, the genre, so i can divide the fics into categories using that.  the fic may be written by you, or by others, just if you think it is good, and should be added, post it here!

p.s.: if a story has an adult rating, you still can mention it. i will add those too, but label them 18+.

• Rules and FAQ page is completely done, and ready. thanks goes to rejiro for writing all the text, and getting it site-ready

• site now uses frames ( actually, i already  updated to frames a few days ago)
• links page is now integrated in the site layout.
• base page for 2008 competition was added.  not much there yet, but will come soon.

also did some cleaning up behind the scenes, moved some files, etc.  but that is mostly to keep things organized for me.

i will also do some minor updates on the affa site. members area, with last years stories is no longer locked. please do read the rules, and make sure to be over 18. stories will be removed prior to next competition.  links to stories who where nominated in  the two past competitions are now on our links page.

at the moment i type this,the affa site, as well as any of my other sites on that server are down., i  cant do anything about it, since i simply cant reach the server, or the site myself.

i did the only thing i can do, l mail the host, and for mow, its a waiting game. i  hope that i canedit this post, and happily say affa is back up soon, or that its up when i wake up tomorrow morning, but for now, i dont even know why the server is down.

i will post more on my lj as soon as i know more myself.

the forum has been trough a mayor update, and while most changes are behind the scenes, some things in the look changed slightly.

since a short while ago, a rpg forum was added to the members section, and we always can use some players, whether you want to play an oc, or a tmnt character.

new are the reviews section and tmnt news and talk section. the reviews section is to post reviews for any tmnt medium. so, if you like to write a review, or two, feel free to do so, and post them. the news and talk section is to post any tmnt news which is not specific for this site, or the AFFA. so, if you have heard news, or an interesting rumor, feel free to post about it!

if you have suggestions, or would love to see something added to the forum, then by all means, tell me, reijiro, or post it in the suggestions forum, so it can be discussed.

Well, decided to upload all ,  or at least most of my screencaps to my gallery here on lj. the pictures are sorted only by series,  and the first ones i uploaded are the tmnt 2007 movie, and the new toon.

The caps are free to be used, but if you want to, i would like to see it if you make something using them. have fun looking at them or/and using them!
